Some people also believe that alcohol is a type of drug, and of course the most common drug of all is nicotine, which is found in cigarettes.  Many big cities around the world have problems with people taking drugs, which can lead to crime as well as the spread of illness and disease.

This is the preparation material for an english conversation lesson about banks and banking. A bank is a place where money can be saved or loaned out from. Someone's money can be placed in the bank for safe keeping. Or the bank can give out loans to people for an agreement to pay the bank back at a later time, usually with interest. The people who run a bank are called bankers. Banks also can use the money they have from deposits to invest in businesses in order to make more money. Many people are not happy with the banking industry at the moment.  They believe that the banks are greedy and do not care about their customers.   read more

Gender is a word commonly used for a person's sex (male or female). When people use the word gender in this way, it is often because sex has many other meanings, making it easy to misunderstand.  But there is a difference between 'sex' and 'gender'.  The word 'sex' describes someone's body. It says whether someone is physically male or female, while the word 'gender' describes someone's personality or character. It says if someone feels or acts more like a female (feminine) or more like a male (masculine).
