Go Nuts

If someone goes nuts, they get excited, frustrated or crazy about something. Examples: The passengers went nuts when they realized that their plane would be delayed by 5 hours; I will go nuts if my team wins the championship!

Did you know...?  This idiom is sometimes phrased 'driving me nuts'. Example: That constant repetitive music is driving me nuts.

Similar expressions:  Idioms with the same meaning include 'go bananas', 'driving me bananas', 'driving me round the bend', 'going round the bend'.

Origin: This expression comes from the facts that monkeys go crazy over nuts (similarly they go crazy over bananas, which is the origin of 'driving me bananas').
